The toddler years are the wash test. Pasta sauce, sidewalk chalk, paint, snack-bar-residue, "I found a puddle." The fabric in the closet has to survive ten washes a week without falling apart, fading, or pilling. mini mioche cuts toddler clothes from the same 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton as the baby line, just in heavier knits that hold up to two years of daily abuse per kid (times 4 kids - that's 8 years of expected wear!).

Every piece is plastic-free (no polyester blends, no synthetic fibers spinning microplastics off in the wash), non-toxic (no PFAS finishes, no formaldehyde, no AZO dyes), and gender-neutral by design. The same hoodie works on a 3-year-old daughter and her 2-year-old cousin.

What makes mini mioche different at this age

Three things. First, the cotton is 100% GOTS-certified jersey, french terry, or fleece depending on the piece, designed to take a beating. Second, the construction is reinforced at stress points (read: knees) so the garment outlasts the size. Third, the colours come from low-impact dyes, not the cheap AZO dyes that bleed in the first wash on most fast-fashion toddler clothes.

Sizing notes

Toddler cuts at mini mioche run true to age. A 1-2Y fits a 12-month-old at the start of the year and a 35-month-old by the end of its usefulness. For pants specifically, all of our pants have drawstring waistbands in order to adjust fit to the child's size, so if you're not sure whether to choose a 1-2 or a 3-4, make length the deciding factor.
